Definitions

The following expressions have the following meanings:-

  • “Stylist” refers to Hair Stylist or Makeup Artist
  • “Client” refers to the person or persons responsible for the booking (usually the Bride) and the members of their party.

A booking fee of £50 is required to secure the wedding date. If the booking requires more than one Stylist, an additional booking fee of £25 for each additional Stylist will be required.  Additionally, if the booking requires any Assistants, there will be an additional booking fee of £50 for each Assistant required. Please note that the booking fee is non-refundable.  The booking fee covers the administration involved.  The wedding date can only be reserved with the completed booking form and booking fee. By proceeding, the Client accepts these Terms and Conditions.

Please note: an enquiry does not secure the date – only receipt of the booking fee and completed booking form will reserve the date and is an acknowledgement that the Client accepts these Terms and Conditions.

Booking confirmation will only be sent once the applicable booking fee has been paid. Once booking confirmation has been issued the date is secured.

The booking fee is deducted from the balance due for the wedding day which is payable 28 days before the wedding day.  If the Client needs to postpone the wedding day booking fees are transferable to a new date if available.  However, prices may have increased, and these will apply.

During Peak Season from April – September a minimum of 4 services are required on the wedding day due to high demand, (this can be hair or makeup or both) otherwise surcharges will apply.  Depending on your location, travel expenses may apply and is charged at 45p per mile each way.  Any car parking charges, hotel parking, additional expenses or overnight accommodation will be added to your final invoice.  

Surcharges may also apply if Stylists or Assistants are required to work before 6 am.

If preparation is split between 2 locations, requiring a pack up, travel and re-set up a fee may be charged, plus any additional travel fees.

Alterations to Original Booking

Notification of any changes to the original booking should be given as soon as possible.  This includes changes to the location, dates, timings, number of the wedding party, styling.  It is the Client’s responsibility to confirm this.

Any changes need to be confirmed via email.

Please note if the wedding booking is changed which results in the number of the wedding party falling below the original confirmed numbers, the original number of people is still chargeable. 

Sharron Wratten Trading as Elegant Hair and Beauty is not liable for any Assistant(s), further Stylists or Suppliers recommended.  All Stylists are covered by their own Public Liability Insurance.

Cancellations

In the event of cancellation of your booking please let us know as soon as possible.  All cancellations will incur the following:-

  • Cancellation of the booking is non-refundable and non-transferable to another service/treatment;
  • If the booking is cancelled within 30 days of the wedding day, full payment of the balance is required;
  • Cancellation of booking 60 days prior to the wedding date, 50% of the original quote is required;
  • In the event of Elegant Hair and Beauty’s cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances and no other suitable Hair or Make-up Artist is available, a full refund of monies paid will be paid back to the Client. However, no compensation will be offered and we shall not be responsible for any related costs or liabilities incurred by the Client;  
  • If the Stylist or her team are made to feel uncomfortable in any way, or if any of the bridal party, wedding guests, or other wedding suppliers display abusive or offensive behaviour the Stylist(s) have the right to terminate the contract immediately without refund; 
  • In the event of extreme weather conditions, where the Met Office have issued a “Red Warning”, the Stylist(s) has the right to cancel without refund;
  • The Stylist(s) will not be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond their control;
  • It is the Client’s responsibility to ensure that every member of the party is aware of the timings on the wedding day and that they will be available when required by the Stylist(s). 

It is strongly advised that the Client takes out Wedding Insurance.

 

COVID

All Government and Industry Guidelines will be followed at the Trial and on the Wedding Day by the Stylist(s). 

 

 

Images

Any Photographs of hair and makeup taken by Stylist(s), professional photographer or videographer may be used on the website, social media and advertising for our own promotional use.  Please confirm beforehand in writing, if you do not wish these images to be used.

Client’s Responsibility - Skin Allergies

It is the Client’s responsibility to inform the Stylist(s) in advance of the wedding day of any known allergies or skin sensitivities that they or their bridal party may have or may have been affected by with the use of products and tools used by the Stylist(s).  A consultation is recommended if allergies and sensitivities are known.

Elegant Hair and Beauty cannot be held accountable for any allergic reactions, complications or otherwise from the application of makeup, products or hair products if we have not been made aware of such in advance (as requested).

Payment and receipt of a Booking fee from the Client indicates acceptance of the Terms and Conditions set out above.
